Attention Parents and Guardians! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED As many of you know, March is the month that the entire district starts CSAP testing. Because healthy bodies equals healthy minds, J. Evans prepares and delivers breakfast to each classroom, for every student, during this time. We are looking for approximately 7-10 volunteers to help out in the mornings by delivering breakfast to each of the classrooms, helping with the clean up and gathering up the attendance rosters. Having you volunteer your time enables the teachers to concentrate on helping the students do their absolute best, and the office staff to keep the office running smoothly.
You do not have to commit to everyday...even if you can only do a couple, that'd be great! We appreciate all the hard work you do for your child and your community.
When: March 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, and 18th
Time: 8:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
What: Helping to deliver breakfast, clean up and gather attendance sheets
Who to Call: Dawn Hillman @ 348-3610 or Meridith Russell @ 348-3611

Uniforms: Attention Parents and GuardiansJ. Evans students are looking great in their school uniforms, and there is a sense of community and pride within our school. Since it has been so successful, we will be continuing the uniforms next year, and we will be raising the bar. Starting next fall, students will be wearing only black or khaki pants, and collared shirts in the school colors. We have teamed up with a great company in order to provide you and your child with some amazing deals on uniforms with the school logo. You also have the choice of purchasing collared shirts without a school logo, but in the school colors, from Walmart, Target and J. C. Penny.
We are very lucky to have the company come out and be present on
Feb 18th and Feb 23rd, which are our parent teacher conference nights. You can order uniforms for next year at that time.
If parents have any questions concerning the proper uniform, you may call the office at 348-3600.
Other information concerning the dress code can be found in your student's planner.
For your information, the following is considered appropriate for this school year:
*Black or Khaki Pants
*Black, Dark Green or Gray shirts. There should not be any other color layered under this shirt (other than school colors)
* Shirts need to be solid.
*Sweatshirts are allowed if they are school colors. They should not be stripped or with logos. Hoodies are not allowed inside the building.
